Farmers Market TODAY!!

Time to get your butt off the couch and haul it to the West Fred Farmer's Market on Baughman's Lane, right now! Today is the opening day and all of our favorites are back, including those flour and sugar-coated folks from Cakes for Cause. Stop by and buy buy buy lemon blossom tarts, toffee cakes, cheddar chive scones, fresh pretzels, rosemary butter biscuits, croissants, sesame semolina bread, rosemary sage crackers, braided challah, herb focaccia, lemon ginger scones, chocolate mocha cookies, hot coffee, cinnamon buns...whew!

Rumor has it that they're even donating 5% of their take today to Heartley House. Do something nice for your tummy and nice for someone else at the same time. How can you go wrong with muffins? Not gonna happen :).

Glad to see your reminder about Farmer's Market! The rain stopped just in time for the market and there was a good crowd and everything we look forward to at the market - fresh asparagus, spinach, spring onions, a wide variety of herb plants, vegetable plants, flowers, shrubs and even trees! I saw a handsome pink dog wood tree being carried away.
Cakes for Cause did very well at the market too - when I finally made to the booth, pretty much everything was sold out.

I am waiting for your strawberry rhubarb crumble posting! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.

I'm going to give the ss/r crumble one more pass tomorrow and hopefully it will be all ready (my last version was a disaster!!).

Glad to see that you made it to the famrer's market. I work so many Sat. mornings that I often miss, and it's one of my very favorite things to do! Maybe I'll be able to swing by at the end this Saturday.
